CALL FOR PAPERS
SPECIAL ISSUE: PROMOTING PRENATAL AND PERINATAL HEALTH
DEADLINE: MARCH 15, 2015
NEW! Now also including manuscripts related to health promotion in the childbearing woman. Such topics would be, but are not limited to, sexual health, complementary therapies, oral health, health policy, pregnancy prevention, preparation for pregnancy and interconception health issues
A 2015 special issue of the Californian Journal of Health Promotion (CJHP) will highlight innovative approaches to improve perinatal health that will contribute to the understanding of health behaviors and related risks for women during pregnancy and postpartum periods. We invite contributions from a variety of scientific disciplines, nursing/medical practitioners, and community organizations.
Submission of manuscripts focusing on underserved populations and interdisciplinary approaches towards health promotion during pregnancy and postpartum is particularly encouraged. Studies may include, but are not limited to, epidemiological studies that examine the relationship of biologic, psychosocial, environmental, economic, and health care factors with prenatal and perinatal outcomes, evaluation of innovative prenatal and perinatal programs, and systematic reviews of current prenatal and perinatal topics. Manuscripts can be submitted as empirical studies, literature reviews, or brief reports. If you choose to submit a manuscript for the special issue, we highly encourage you to also serve as a reviewer for another manuscript submission.
